About The Shire Heart Clinic

The Shire Heart Clinic opened its doors in June 2004. Founded by Dr Mark Sader, following his return to Sydney from Boston after being awarded a Harvard Fellowship in Cardiology. The Shire Heart Clinic aims to provide the highest international cardiac care to patients from The Sutherland Shire and beyond.

• 12 lead ECG
• Treadmill Exercise ECG
• Stress Echocardiography
• Ambulatory Blood pressure monitoring
• 24 hour Holter monitoring

The Shire Heart Clinic uses state of the art equipment for diagnostic testing and imaging under cardiological supervision to provide the greatest possible accuracy in diagnosis

In the event hospital admission is required these can be rapidly organised at St George Public, St George Private or Hurstville Private Hospitals. Dr Sader as a consequence of his Harvard Fellowship in Interventional Cardiology has expertise across the full range of diagnostic and therapeutic cardiac and peripheral vascular procedures:

• Angiography, Angioplasty and Stenting.
• Valvuloplasty, Patent Foramen Ovale and Atrial Septal Defect Closure.

If therapeutic procedures such as coronary stenting are required, these can often proceed immediately, thus minimising patient risk and maximising convenience.
